Rupey.

This past spring, I went to a little town named Prince Rupert. My mother and I drove 18, very long hours northbound to be fully immersed in rain. The purpose of our visit was for me to partake in the 2009, Music and Dance Provincials. I traveled there with 10 other dancers from my studio, all different ages and different styles of dance. Some drove, like mom and I, but most took an easy 3 hour flight to the middle of nowhere. It was a lot of fun in the end, other then that rain. I swear, one day I actually heard the weather lady admitting that the following day would be a 100% chance of rain. 100%! It would have been different if it would have rained for about an hour, maybe even two...but it rained, all...day...long. It did not stop raining from the time I woke up, to the time I went to bed. I guess it would have been worse if I was outside the whole time, most of the time I was in a studio dancing, or in a theater watching more dance. But, no matter where you were in that little town, you could always hear the pitter patter of rain. The ironic part of it was, whenever I'd meet someone from the town, they'd tell me that it never rained this much, and I always refused to believed them. But, AS SOON as I left, Prince Rupert was all sunshine and daisies, with a high of 29.

Top Three

My top three is going to be about dance. The criteria for my choices will be, amount of stamina it requires, songs you can dance to in the style, and how good I feel while dancing the style. My number one choice is Contemporary. The songs you can dance to in this style are beautiful, and it requires a lot of stamina because it is always moving and jumping and it usually is really intense. I always love just dancing it because I can move anyway I want and none of the moves are considered 'wrong'. My second favourite is Pointe. It is the same as ballet, but on Pointe shoes. I think Pointe shoes are gorgeous. I love dancing to classical music because it's usually just instrumentals, no words to distract away from your dancing. Ballet is always very enduring, and takes a lot out of you. When your dancing ballet you always have to try and look like everything you do is effortless, even if it's the hardest thing you've ever had to do. While I'm dancing ballet I always feel super dainty and elegant. My third favourite would have to be jazz. Jazz is danced to a variety of different music, anything from metal to blues. I like dancing it because it's usually supposed to be very high energy and up-beat. Solos are, on average, approximately 3 minutes, so non-stop, high energy for three minutes can be tough sometimes. I always feel kind of cheesy and over-the-top when I'm performing jazz. I love to dance. I try every style I think I can do, and it turns out I've come to like these three the best :)

Superpower

If I had any superpower I would no doubt choose invisibility. Not the kind of invisibility that was forever, but so that I could choose when I was invisible. I would be invisible driving my car so that people would get freaked out and wonder whose driving the car. I would also be invisible when i wanted to hear what other people really had to say about me. It would be interesting to hear what others had to say when they had no idea that I can hear them. It also might be hard though, because the people you thought were your friends might be the ones talking behind your back. It would also be nice to be invisible in class sometimes, to not be picked on in class to read or say answers out loud...but still get all the work and whatnot. Just in general I think it would be fun to be invisible on demand, there's so many things you can do :)
